Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on a child-centered approach. What does that mean? We offer the children experiences that allow them to experiment and learn through self-discovery. Art activities are process oriented and allow the children to express their individual creativity. We encourage the children to enjoy the process and not be concerned that "it look like something" when they are finished. Our classrooms offer many interest areas or learning centers: Art, Science, Writing, Math, Dramatic play, Library, Sensory table and a Block Area. Our kitchen is frequently used to create delicious child made snacks.

Allergy Policy

We are an “allergy friendly” school. We make accommodations as necessary to allow all children to partake in daily snack and baking activities. We have many recipes that enable us to continue our cooking curriculum, regardless of the allergies of our children.

Home School Connections

We believe parent participation is invaluable for ensuring the success of our programs. We warmly welcome you to spend time with the children in the classroom. You may sign up to be a mystery reader, cooking parent, or just come play on the playground! We particularly encourage parents to share special holidays or traditions you celebrate in your home.

We have events planned throughout the year that include all family members! We offer field trips for our four year olds that may include a visit to an apple orchard in the fall and a trip to the fire station. We have many in house field trips as well including a visit from a dental hygienist, an Irish Dance demonstration, story teller and a bike safety day with the Westborough Police.
